Our Story
The Capital Carvings story began with a 15-year-old boy in Raleigh, NC; with a passion for wood shop.
After Serving in the U.S. Navy and with the federal government our founder had maintained close ties to Raleigh, Washington DC, and Richmond, the Capitals of his youth which inspired the name; but the woodworking had become more of a hobby.
After retiring in 2019 and watching small businesses close during the pandemic; he founded Capital Carvings In 2020 with a simple model: Every Business should have a sign.
We put our faith, passion, experience, and dedication to quality & craftsmanship into everything we do! We are driven by faith to make a difference in our community. We give back 80% of all sales in our store to that mission.

We started our outreach In 2020, as many small businesses were being forced to close during the pandemic. We know firsthand that these businesses are the backbone of America and we wanted to do something about it. We started our charity to give back and help reinforce our new small businesses through our outreach.
How do we give back?
We donate 80% of all profits to our Charity Outreach, where we donate high-quality wood signs to Small Businesses in America. If you own or know of a small business with a need, please contact us today!

We offer free customizations on all signs and free local delivery in the Fredericksburg, Raleigh, Richmond, and Washington DC metro areas.
We accept all major credit and Debit cards through Stripe as well as: PayPal and Google Pay. We also offer a Cash on Delivery (COD) option, with a 5% discount for cash.
We will be happy to assist you with eligible returns. If you need a return or exchange, send us an email so we can discuss a replacement.
